The Insitu Players Open held in Dundas, Ontario was a week full of excitement and challenges. While we struggled in the semifinals, the overall experience was a positive one. We are definitely finding our sea legs and coming together as a team.
SOLID WEEK in Dundas, Ontario
The Insitu Players Open, held in beautiful Dundas, Ontario, was an event that brought together some of the top curling teams from around the world. Our team was eager to make our mark on the ice.
We kicked off the tournament with determination, and our record was 3-0 heading into Saturday’s final two round-robin games. Saturday was not our best showing. We had a couple of rough games that did not go our way, but we were able to clinch a playoff spot!
Playoffs
We went into Sunday prepared and ready to win! We shook off the dust from Saturday and had a great game in the quarters. We were pumped heading to the semifinal, but despite our best efforts, we came up short. It was a tough loss to swallow (every loss is), but it's all part of the game.
As athletes, we understand that wins and losses are a part of any competition. What's more important is how we respond to these situations, and we're determined to take the lessons from this experience and use them to improve our game.
Feeling Ready for the Grand Slam of Curling Hearing Life Tour Challenge
Despite the disappointment in the semifinals, we're not dwelling on it. Instead, we're channelling our energy and determination into the upcoming Grand Slam of Curling Hearing Life Tour Challenge. It's an event we're eagerly looking forward to, and it's set to take place from October 17th to 22nd at the Gale Centre in Niagara Falls, ON.
This is where we have our sights set, and we're leaving no stone unturned in our preparation for this major event. Our performance at the Insitu Players Open has fueled our desire to give it our all at the Grand Slam. We're ready to step onto the ice, face the best teams in the world, and put on a show for all of our incredible fans.
